This Psalm is normally read on the Sabbath.
We will analyze this Psalm with the forth level of interpretation or "deeper level of interpretation" where we use the Hebrew language and the wisdom hidden therein to find out what YHVH wants to teach us. (For background information, please read the study on Hebrew Thinking). There are seven YHVH’s in the psalm; the center "YHVH" is found in verse 8, which points to the "heart" of this Psalm. The center "YHVH" is also the "forth YHVH" and this verse has 4 words; and the number 4 means "
The Work of the Messiah". We will now look into the heart of this Psalm to find out what the work of the Messiah entails:
Ps 92:8 But thou, YHVH, art most high forevermore.
YHVH - Olam- Marom - Attah
We start reading from the right hand side, which is the Spiritual side, to the left hand side, which is the physical side. We find a "Vav" on the right hand side, which represents man, and YHVH on the left hand side, which represents YHVH in the physical, which is Yeshua. Do you see the picture? The work of the Messiah is to elevate man spiritually by Him coming into the physical realm to do the work required for this to happen.
We will now look at each of these words to find out what they mean in the process of "Elevation of man":
- "Attah" (Vav - Aleph - Tav - Hey) The first word is “attah” meaning "you".
- Vav - Aleph - Tav - Hey - Man (Vav) is on the right hand side, with Y’shua (Aleph-Tav) between him and the Light (Hey). The "Aleph-Tav" (Y’shua) is the centre part of this word where man (Vav - right) shines His Light (Hey - left) in the physical (Left side). Man (Vav) is on the right hand side of Y'shua (Aleph-tav), giving man a place of righteousness.
- Aleph - Tav - Hey - Y’shua brought us into the Father (Aleph) through the work on the stake (cross) “Tav”. Man is not only on the right hand side of the word “attah”, but is also on the right side of the verse, with YHVH opposite on the left side. This shows that man is elevated from the physical into the spiritual and YHVH came down and is made known in the physical. There are two (relationship) words between man and YHVH, these words are: Marom and Olam.
- “Marom” (Mem - Resh - Vav - Mem)– This word means; high place or elevated. This word is made up with two “Mems”, one left and one right, with a “Resh” (Human reasoning) and “Vav” (Man)“. The first step of man (Vav) being elevated is being inside the water (baptism) and the second step is for man’s “human reasoning” (Resh) being inside the water (renewing of the mind). “Marom” (Mem - Resh - Vav - Mem) can be broken in two parts: * “Mor” (Mem - Resh)– meaning Mirrh or anointing, and * “Rom” (Resh- Mem) – meaning Height, to rise up, to be exalted. We see a third step needed to elevate man (Mor), which is the anointing by His Spirit.
- “Olam” (Lamed - Ayin - Lamed - Mem) “Olam” means “a certain quality of life” which can be expressed and lived through “set apartness”. Living a “set apart life” opens up this “quality” of life YHVH intended for us. “Olam” consists of an “Ayin”, “Lamed” and a “Mem”. This “quality” life is about learning (Lamed) about YHVH so that your spiritual eyes (Ayin) may be opened for His Truth and to let His water flow from this life. It is not passive where you only believe, but is a active life of set apartness where you do things (water flowing) and where you learn YHVH’s ways and apply it, as you see the truth.
- YHVH (Yod - Hey - Vav - Hey) - The last word is where YHVH is on the Left hand side and is a picture of Him coming to the earth in the flesh so that man (Vav, in the first word of the right), may be elevated in the Spirit. This verse is a word picture that gives us this two truths; firstly, it shows us the steps we need to go through to move closer to YHVH (first three words) and secondly, show us what the work of the Messiah (Number ) is; to elevate man to a highet quality of life in teh Spirit and to be in the Likeness of YHVH so that we can be restored ack to Him.
To come to YHVH and into His fullness, you need to be lifted up to where YHVH is. This will only happen when you go through these three steps:
- Believing in Y’shua (Alph-Tav), accepting Him in your heart and shining His glory through your life.
- Go through the water of baptism (Mem) as a symbol of you being submersed into His Word and your mind (Resh) will be renewed by thewashing of the water of His Word. (Mem).
- Receiving His Spirit and His anointing (Mor) to restore you to the spiritual state you have fell from. This is also a bitter process of dieing in theflesh.
- Living a set apart life, which is His life, called “Chai Olam”, experiencing YHVH’s life in your life, walking in His way’s.
All of this is in the Psalm that is the Shabbat Psalm. Shabbat, as we know, is the time where we give ourselves, our mind and our actions, to YHVH, so that He can do His work and build the tabernacle in us. These are the things that take place during the building process so that you, man, can move from having Y’shua in your heart, to where you are inside YHVH’s heart.
