To understand this will not take a short answer. You have to zoom out and understand the bigger picture and you have to know the Character of God. We as humans try to know the Character of God based upon what we see and experience. Well, He is Spiritual en to know Him is to know Him spiritually. He gave us His Word (a Book with words to understand the spiritual) and we will only know Him if we study His Word. If you want to know what He is like, read Ex 34:6-7 proclaiming 13 attributes of His Character. He chose to interact with man through words in His Word. Words are actually spiritual and translate the spiritual essence of one entity to another, from God to us. If do not accept His Word to be the Truth, that Spiritual essence about Him is not transferred from the spiritual (where He is) to the physical realm (where we are) and we will not know Him or understand Him. He sends His Son Jesus, also know as the Word as written in John 1:1. To zoom out is to see the bigger picture of the plan of God. We are inside His plan and it is impossible to see what is going on because the detail thereof is confusing us. The overall plan is seen in His Word, once again. It is His Plan and if we choose not to believe it, will not change it, His Plan is the reality, we must find out what that reality is because it is the highest reality (definition of truth). Man fell from God’s Glory where he dwelled with God. Death came into the world, the word death in Hebrew means separation. Man was separated from God through sin that entered into the world because they believe the lie of Satan. Satan took the (spiritual) Word of God and twisted it just a tad. That made it into a different spiritual reality and their physical reality changed accordingly. God wants to restore man to this original state and wants to unite man with Himself again (opposite of death = life). During His first coming He restored mans spiritual side by giving man His Spirit (for those who receive the Truth) and His Spirit will reveal His truth to us. His Spirit is also known as the Spirit of Truth; restoring the Truth. On His Second coming He will restore man’s physical side as well, by giving us glorified bodies (rapture). Then we will be with Him physically and total restoration will be completed. We are in this process of restoration and are not complete yet. Evil will reign till the end of time, as stated in Rev 13:11-14, disguised as a Lamb but speaks like a dragon (evil). This is what is happening in the church in the last days, imagine the evil among the non-believers. God gave His Word to protect His people from this evil but people today choose not to search what the Word says, so they will be exposed to deception, sad to say, but true. If you read the last parts of Revelation, you will see that God will reign at the end, not evil. E-mail your Questions and Comments or Answer to
